Unique Process
We take pride in crafting furniture the way it used to be made, employing time-honored craftsmanship and sourcing exceptional, high-quality materials. Our commitment to sustainability and unique design sets us apart. Many of our projects are created from materials repurposed from historic structures that have stood for centuries, such as ancient barns, former shoe factories, corn cribs, tobacco drying sheds, and even old bridges and water towers.
As we work with this reclaimed barn wood, we often uncover hidden treasures, each with its own story to tell. Musket balls, shotgun pellets, cut nails, and even a hidden letter that predates the Civil War have been found within the timeworn beams and planks. This wood is more than just a material; it’s a repository of our early Americana culture and history. Preserving it from the fate of landfills allows us to carry forward the legacies embedded in these structures.

We hired Gary and his team to complete two custom furniture projects for our new company headquarters in New Jersey.

Our vision was a little more modern than what DVW typically offers, but Gary did a fantastic job understanding our needs and working through multiple design iterations to craft exceptional furniture that matched our space and branding.
He was very patient and accessible throughout the process, providing expert advice and 3D Mockups to ensure we were getting exactly what we wanted. Gary even sourced custom-colored powder coating to match our company's Pantone color.
The finished products are stunning and the craftsmanship is exceptional in person. DVW doesn't cut corners and the quality shows. 100% worth the investment. We've been using the furniture daily for the last 6 months and it still looks brand new.
Gary and his team had no problem meeting our aggressive deadline, sent us detailed photos/videos to ensure we were happy throughout the build process, and even hand-delivered the furniture directly to us from Indiana (Mike, their driver, was very friendly and professional).
We later hired DVW again to craft custom wood and metal guest chairs to match our desks. Gary listened to our unique design direction, improved upon our original design concept, and hand-delivered chairs that are both comfortable and stylish.
